There are many insurance inspectors in Florida who will tell you that your hurricane shutter is deficient and then turn around and offer to sell you a new one. We believe that at best, this provides the appearance of a conflict of interest. At worst, it carries the potential for abuse. As a result, DMI does not perform roofing, shutter or any other construction work, nor do we make referrals or endorsements to those who can. DMI is always willing to work closely with whomever is performing remediation work to ensure that when the work is completed, DMI’s reinspection will have the desired impact on the policyholder’s insurance.
